The Juicy Carving Board

The first time

  1. Before use, wipe the board with a damp cloth and allow to dry thoroughly. Wash the stainless steel tray in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry completely, do not use a metal scourer.

After cooking

  1. As timber is a porous material, equal care must be taken to both sides of the board.
  2. After you have finished scrub with a warm, soapy, soft scourer and dry immediately - do not use a metal scourer.
  3. Store in a clean, dry area allowing air to circulate around the board.
  4. Do not wash in the dishwasher, soak, or submerge in water as this will damage the natural properties of the wood.
  5. Dry the stainless steel tray and magnets thoroughly to avoid corrosion – do not leave in water.
  6. To prevent scratching and to retail sheen on stainless steel, do not clean with abrasive cloth or cleaners.
  7. Remember wood is flammable and should never be placed in oven or near cook top.

Hints and Tips for a Longer Lasting Board

  1. To maintain natural wood properties, after cleaning, wipe over sparingly with natural mineral oil.
  2. Massage the oil into the surface of the board and wipe any excel off with a paper towel or dry cloth, allow to dry thoroughly before next use.
